    Chocolate chia and oat milk pudding is an easy breakfast that can be prepared the night before and enjoyed the next morning. It can be decorated with your favourite toppings, like berries, nuts and seeds.

    Chia Seeds are the main ingredients, they soak up any liquid and transform into a creamy consistency. They are nowadays available in any grocery shop or health store.

    Cocoa Powder turns this pudding into a chocolate delight. Don't confuse good quality cocoa powder with hot chocolate powder, it would make it unsuitable for plant based diets.

    Ingredients to make Chocolate Chia Pudding

    Oat Milk is a dairy free milk that is easily available. You can even learn how to make it yourself with this from scratch recipe. You can replace oat milk with soy or almond milk too.

    Maple Syrup is the natural sweetener in this pudding recipe. Honey works well too if it is not part of your vegan diet.

    Vanilla Extract for flavour and aroma.

    This chia seed pudding recipe is really simple - it can not get any easier!

    Combine the oat milk with the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract and chia seeds.

    Whisk well until all ingredients have combined. This should take at least a minute. Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.

    Remove the bowl from the fridge and check the consistency by stirring the pudding with a spoon. The texture should be rather creamy than too thick.

    Spoon the chia mixture into a serving glass and garnish with your favourite toppings.
