    Hello! We are so glad you are here!

    We are a Chef-Food photographer duo based in New South Wales, Australia! Together we started Between2Kitchens to share simple, delicious, restaurant-style recipes, to make entertaining at home stress free, fun, and enjoyable!

    We believe, with the right recipe, guidance and few tips anyone can put together a restaurant worthy meal at home.

    Our goal is to inspire everyone to be able to cook Restaurant style dishes when entertaining or cooking at home for a special occasion. We believe, with the right recipe, guidance and few tips anyone can put together a restaurant worthy meal for their family and friends.

    Many people now than ever are opting to entertain at home instead of going out. They are much more health-conscious and aware of their food choices than in the past. The ability to control ingredients, save money and being able to experiment with new flavours and cooking styles without paying exorbitant restaurant prices are some contributing factors! Whereas for someone like me (Etienne), it’s also a great way to relax and destress!

    I, in fact cook at home all the time! Yes it’s true that professional chefs usually don’t like cooking at home but for me, it has always been my creative outlet! I get to create recipes at home which I otherwise don't at work! No matter what’s your motivation to cook, our recipes will lure you back into the kitchen!

    Food and Recipes

    With more than 20 years of experience as a professional Chef, I have been fortunate to have lived and worked around the world! Over year’s of testing and experimenting with flavours, I now share my best recipes on the blog with the aim of making it a one stop shop for anyone looking for inspiring cooking ideas! Especially, when you want to add a bit of oomph! to your meals!

    When it comes to cooking, I like to keep things mostly simple! I use basic, everyday ingredients, with a focus on fresh, good quality, seasonal produce. Whether you are a seasoned cook or home cook, I strive to share recipes that are doable. But on occasions, you might find few recipes that require a bit more work, though I will always do my best to provide a simplified version as an alternative.

    Otherwise our recipes are easy, approachable and usually do not require any special appliances besides a good pair of hands.

    We break down recipes in easy-to-follow steps and guide you along the way with a lot of visuals. That’s where Shilpi’s role is crucial! Shilpi and I work very closely on our shoot days to make sure all important aspects of the recipe are captured and everything goes as planned from cooking to clicking.

If you have ever wondered how to make those finger licking sauces, dressings, dips and preserves like at your favourite restaurant, then you will love what I have for you in my pantry! As a chef, I am deeply passionate about making things from scratch and find it extremely rewarding!

    Don't you get satisfaction from seeing people enjoy the food you made from scratch rather than something you just made out of a box or a packet? With our step by step recipes in no time you will be creating even more deliciousness and turning those home cooked meals into truly Restaurant quality meals you can be proud of!

    With a few simple tips and techniques, we'll help you make your food look as good, if not better than in any restaurant.

    If you have ever had a vision in mind of your finished dish, to resemble the one like at a restaurant but fall short of bringing that vision to life, then you have come to the right place! A chef’s job doesn’t end with just cooking the dish; besides taste and smell, a delicious meal must also appeal to the eye.
