INGREDIENTS

– 4.6 oz arborio rice or any other round rice – 3.5 oz white sugar – 4 ¼ cups full fat milk – 1 teaspoon vanilla essence or 1 vanilla pod cut lengthwise – 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

COMBINE THE INGREDIENTS

In a baking dish, combine the rice, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon powder.

ADD THE MILK

Heat up the milk to almost simmer and pour over the rice mixture.

BAKE IN THE OVEN

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 1 hour in a pre-heated oven at 350 F (150C)

SLOW BAKE 

Reduce the heat to 120°C (250°F) and cook for a further 2½ hours.

 SERVE FOR BREAKFAST

Serve with stewed fruits for breakfast or eat as a dessert..
