– 1 large brown onion – 2½ cups white wine – 5 floz cream – 2.8 oz butter – salt to taste

Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes.

Continue cooking the sauce for about 10 minutes. Check that the onions have cooked.
